Re-Produced Soundtrack
We adjusted the music from the original using garage band. We still used the initial audio that was created after receiving feedback and making an updated version however this is the main theme song for the film as the lyrics highly relate to the Lonely boy's character
Rough Cut 2 (Improvements Needed)
Things We Need To Improve
- The ending of the opening sequence needs to leave the viewer feeling like they want to watch the rest of the movie which at the moment does not portray in what direction the movie is actually going.
- During the walking scene it didn't distinguish the stereotype we were looking to have using the lonely boy
- Forcing us to add another scene to the end of the movie to help create the stereotype that in the end began to give the viewer an understanding of what direction the movie is going in.
Rough Cut 2 (Positives)
Positives:
- The overall idea that we are trying to portray was generally understood, to make sure that viewer knew that we was creating a sports movie about a boy with a dream.
- The effects we input and the music, added to the emotion we were trying to create of a boy who is 'Lonely'
- The angles we shoot the walking scene in was well shoot and provided us with and General idea of how to improve it the next time.
- The way in which we shot the football scene and the editing of it provided the viewer with a visual aspect of the boys dream
- Making the 'Lonely boy' wake up from a dream allowed us to link the name of the film with the story we are trying to portray
Response to Feedback Rough cut feedback 1
Response To Feedback
We listened to the feedback and proceeded to schedule another shoot in an attempt to bring the contents of the production to life and effectively fit the filming and the our lighthearted theme together. Our aim now is to give the viewer a sense of direction when watching the opneing scene so they have a clear idea on what is happening and what will or could happen/involve.
Secondly, we have plans to change the music in a more experimenting and interactive way. We will adjust the music and show it to different people so we receive isntant feedback on what the selected music makes the listener think and feel. If we can identify these feelings with our theme, then we can assure that we've succeeded in this aspect of the film.
We carefully considered different titles but the main concept of the film and this idea is one of this young man that dreams of being a successful footballer. It's someone that even if things don't click in for him, there's this drive and determination that will make this distant dream a reality for him. and sticking with this idea we decided to alter the title instead of changing it into 'The Dream' OR 'Dream'. 'The' determines that the dream is specific, so we left it open to just 'Dream', as if encouraging the viewer to maintain their aspirations. A positive title to in contrast to our first, more negative title.

Feedback from Rough Cut 1
Feedback
After revealing the first Rough Cut to the teacher and received feedback for it there were a few major problems with the actual cut. The first problem encountered was not the quality of the footage we'd produced but the actual contents of the footage which aren't relevant to what our presentation on our production proposed had to be changed. It was too simple and stale. The exact opposite of what we were aiming to produce. 'It's just him walking to College.'
Mary also commented on the music and how she felt like the music didn't really fit the theme we were trying to bring across. The theme we were trying to portray was a lighthearted success story. However, it come more across as a dark and heavy theme because of the selected music.
Our original title of the film was 'A Lonely Dream'. The word 'lonely' has rather negative connotations; depression, sad, isolation, black et cetera. This also put emphasis on the 'dark' music we had wrongfully chosen.
Weather Checks
For the days we filmed we had to ensure that we had the right weather conditions to film with as we didn't want the equipment to get wet. Also we needed to make sure the scenes filmed would be seen clearly without the problem of it raining.
Locations Update
These are both Locations which will be seen in the film when the lonely boy arrives to college and the film starts to set as to what kind of character he is portrayed as. As it was a public location we had to film when it was less occupied so we could get the correct shots we needed without having anyone interfere with the scenes.
FeedBack Update
After Receiving feedback as to what we needed to improve, we added an extra scene to the end of the film to set the initial idea of the film as to what his dream is and what starts to motivate him to pursue it. This needed to be added as it is what would make the audience want to carry on watching it as it showed that the film had actual purpose, which now is clearly seen.
